刘晓庆，中国内地著名演员，国家一级演员。她也是中华人民共和国第七届全国政治协商委员会委员，中华人民共和国全国青年联合会委员，中国作家协会会员。1975年，刘晓庆第一次试镜，拍摄“文革”后期的电影《南海长城》，先后拿过五次百花奖、一次金鸡奖。有人评价说，1980年代的中国电影属于“刘晓庆时代”。她生长于知识分子家庭，自幼爱好音乐。1963年考入四川音乐学院附中，学习扬琴和钢琴，70年附中毕业后分配到宣汉县农场。1972年被宣汉县宣传队选取中，不久被借调襄渝铁路宣传队演出。年底，成都军区文工团调她演出歌剧《杜鹃山》。73年被八一电影制片厂选中，参演电视作品（1977-2010）(16张)担任《南海长城》女主角，从此跃上银幕。以《小花》崭露头角，1975年，刘晓庆第一次“触电”，到了1980年，她已是北京电影制片厂的一位知名电影演员了。她因出演《瞧这一家子》而获得了第三届大众电影百花奖最佳配角奖。1987年，在《芙蓉镇》里，刘晓庆因成功饰演了胡玉音而获第七届中国电影金鸡奖最佳女主角奖。1988年，在《火凤凰》里，刘晓庆获第十一届电影百花奖最佳女演员奖。在著名电视剧《武则天》里，刘晓庆从16岁一直演到83岁，丝毫看不出她当时已年近半百。刘晓庆名言：“做人难，做女人难，做名女人更难，做单身的名女人难乎其难”。1990年，影后刘晓庆正式“下海”经商，10年经商成就演艺圈女老板。1990年代，刘晓庆的注意力转移到了电影外的世界，投资房地产、拍摄电视剧、拍卖书稿等，成为“中国的亿万富姐”。美国《福布斯》杂志公布，中国富豪名列第45位的刘晓庆有7000万至9000万美元的身价。
