Christine Pascal - BIOGRAPHY
A 20 ans, Christine Pascal est étudiante en lettres à Lyon et a étudié au conservatoire d'art dramatique de Lyon. Elle est remarquée par Bertrand Tavernier qui la fait jouer dans L'Horloger de Saint-Paul en 1973. Elle tournera cinq films avec lui dont Que la fête commence (1974) et Des enfants gâtés (1977). Son premier grand rôle est dans Les Guichets du Louvre(1974) de Michel Mitrani. Avec Isabelle Adjani et Isabelle Huppert, elles formaient un trio. Elles ont été colocataires à un moment, quand elles étaient « pauvres et jeunes actrices pleines d'illusions et de désir de gloire ». En 1978, elle fait la connaissance du producteur suisse Robert Boner, sur le tournage du film Les Petites Fugues du réalisateur suisse Yves Yersin, pour lequel elle est assistante de production. Elle épouse Robert Boner en 1982, et acquiert la nationalité suisse. En 1979, elle se lance dans la réalisation de son premier film, Félicité, dont elle a écrit le scénario, très autobiographique, et y interprète le rôle principal. Dans ses films suivants, elle ne sera plus que réalisatrice et scénariste. En 1992, elle signe Le Petit Prince a dit avec Richard Berry et Anémone, qui rencontre le public et est salué par la critique. Le film obtient le prix Louis-Delluc. Christine Pascal est également nommée au César du meilleur réalisateur, devenant ainsi la troisième femme à obtenir cette citation dans l'histoire du prix. Son film suivant, Adultère (mode d'emploi), sorti en 1995, n'a pas le même succès. Alors qu'elle est en soins psychiatriques dans une clinique de Garches, durant l'été 1996, elle saute par une fenêtre et se tue.
