Maurice Barrier - BIOGRAPHY
acteur français né Maurice Jean-Étienne Barrier le 8 juin 1932 à Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, dans la Sarthe. Il a choisi de s'établir dans le village de Montréal dans l'Yonne. On l'a vu dans des films aux côtés de Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jean Gabin, Alain Delon, Pierre Richard et Gérard Jugnotentre autres. Maurice Barrier a débuté au cinéma dans La Prise de pouvoir par Louis XIV de Roberto Rossellini en 1966. Il est célèbre en tant que « second couteau » du cinéma français que ce soit dans Le Grand Blond avec une chaussure noire, Deux hommes dans la ville, Flic Story ou La Victoire en chantant. Dans les années 1980, il a enchaîné grosses productions et films d'auteur comme Rue du départ ; il se fait depuis plus rare au cinéma. Il a participé aux comédies musicales Abbacadabra et Les Misérables, et a également tourné pour la télévision. Il est l'époux d'Hélène Manesse (et donc beau-frère du peintre Claude Manesse et du comédien Philippe Manesse. Il est l'oncle par alliance de Jérémy Manesse et de la jeune chanteuse Sarah Manesse).
