Ursula Werner - BIOGRAPHY
Ursula Werner wuchs in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg auf. Sie erlernte zunächst im Kollektiv 'Wilma Rudolph' in Adlershof den Tischlerberuf. Nach dem anschließenden Studium an der Staatlichen Schauspielschule Berlin, der heutigen Hochschule der Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, führten erste Engagements sie an das Landestheater Halle an der Saale und an das Berliner KabarettDie Distel. Von 1974 bis 2009 war Werner festes Ensemblemitglied des Maxim Gorki Theaters in Berlin. Sie ist weiterhin als Gast Darstellerin auf der Gorki-Bühne zu sehen. Bei der DEFA bleibt besonders ihre Rolle der Doktorin Unglaube in dem Film Ein irrer Duft von frischem Heu (1977) in Erinnerung. Von 2001 bis 2007 stand sie als Frau Mell in einer ständigen Nebenrolle in der Serie Schloss Einstein vor der Kamera. Nach einigen kleineren Rollen in Film und Fernsehen kehrte Ursula Werner 2008 in der Hauptrolle in Andreas DresensWolke 9 ins Rampenlicht zurück. In Wolke 9 verkörperte sie eine Frau, die mit Ende 60 ihren älteren Ehemann für einen noch älteren Mann verlässt. In dem Film soll gezeigt werden, dass Liebe und Sex im Alter nicht einfach so aufhören. Für diese außergewöhnliche Leistung erhielt sie 2009 den Deutschen Filmpreis für die beste weibliche Hauptrolle.
