Nanni Loy - BIOGRAPHY
Nanni Loy est célèbre pour avoir introduit en Italie la caméra cachée dans sa série télévisée Specchio segreto, tournée pour la RAI en 1965. Toujours pour la télévision, il réalisa en 1994 le film A che punto è la notte, d'après le roman deCarlo Fruttero et Franco Lucentini, La Nuit du grand boss. Au théâtre, il assura la mise en scène de Scacco pazzo. En tant que cinéaste, il réalisa de nombreux films qui se situent de plein droit dans la comédie à l'italienne, empreints d'une ironie douce-amère (Il padre di famiglia, Café express, Mi manda Picone), allant jusqu'à l'engagement social, comme dans Detenuto in attesa di giudizio ou Sistemo l'America e torno. En 1971, il fit partie des 800 intellectuels qui signèrent le document publié dans l'hebdomadaire L'Espresso et accusant le commissaire Luigi Calabresi.
