Saverio Costanzo - BIOGRAPHY
Regista e sceneggiatore. Figlio del celebre giornalista e conduttore televisivo Maurizio Costanzo, si laurea in Sociologia della Comunicazione presso l'Università della Sapienza di Roma. Dopo varie esperienze come conduttore radiofonico, autore di sceneggiature per telefilm RAI e la realizzazione di alcuni spot pubblicitari, alla fine degli anni '90 si reca a New York, dove lavora come operatore e aiuto-regista, per poi dedicarsi all'attività di documentarista. Nel 2001 fonda, insieme a Mario Gianani, la casa di produzione Offside che si dedica inizialmente alla produzione di documentari e programmi storici per la televisione e in seguito a quella di lungometraggi tra cui, nel 2004, la sua opera prima, "Private". Accolto con successo dalla critica internazionale, il film vince diversi premi tra cui il Pardo d'oro e il premio della giuria ecumenica al Locarno Film Festival del 2004, e a lui vale invece, nel 2005, il Nastro d'argento e il David di Donatello come miglior regista emergente. Nel 2007 è al Festival di Berlino con la sua seconda opera, "In memoria di me". Nel 2009 acquisisce i diritti per realizzare la trasposizione cinematografica del best-seller, vincitore del premio Strega 2008, "La solitudine dei numeri primi" di Paolo Giordano.
