Daniël Adrianus Augustinus Schuurmans is een Nederlands acteur. Schuurmans is gehuwd met Bracha van Doesburgh. Zij hebben één dochter. Na zijn opleiding aan de toneelacademie Maastricht speelde Daan Schuurmans in een groot aantal speelfilms waaronder "Polleke", "Alles is liefde", "Brief voor de Koning", "Terug naar de Kust" en meest recentelijk in "de Bende van Oss". Op televisie werd hij voornamelijk bekend door zijn rol in de serie Westenwind en als Michael Bellicher naar de boeken van Charles den Tex. Ook was hij onder andere te zien in "Keyzer & de Boer advocaten". Voor zijn vertolking van Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld in de miniserie "Bernhard, schavuit van Oranje" en zijn rol als de zoon van "Annie M.G." in de gelijknamige dramaserie ontving hij in 2011 een beeld en geluid award. Naast zijn filmwerkzaamheden speelt Daan Schuurmans ook regelmatig toneel. Hij was onder andere te zien in "Closer" van het Nationale Toneel De laatste paar jaar speelt hij voor Het Toneel Speelt. Komend seizoen zal hij bij dit gezelschap te zien zijn als Edmund in King Lear en Arend in de Gijsbrecht van Amstel. In februari 2003 was Schuurmans shootingstar op het filmfestival van Berlijn waar hij uit handen van Dennis Hopper een Icarus award ontving. In 2012 regisseerde hij een aflevering van Van God Los.
