Tiyatrocu bir aileden gelen Adile Naşit'in babası komedyen Komik-i Şehir Naşit, annesi de Türkiye Ermenisi tiyatro oyuncusu Amelya Hanım'dır. Ağabeyi Selim Naşit ve 1950'de evlendiği eşi Ziya Keskiner de tiyatro sanatçısıdır. Adile Naşit eşi Ziya Keskiner'in Temmuz 1982'deki ölümünden sonra 16 Eylül 1983 tarihinde Cemal İnce ile gizlice evlendi. Sinema dünyasında, Rıfat Ilgaz'ın ünlü eseri Hababam Sınıfı'ndan uyarlanan filmlerdeki müstahdem Hafize Ana rolü ile olduğu kadar, Münir Özkul ile karşılıklı oynadığı filmlerdeki "Anne" rolleriyle de ünlenen Adile Naşit 11 Aralık 1987'de doğduğu şehir olan İstanbul'da 57 yaşındayken bağırsak kanseri sonucu yaşamını yitirmiştir. Cenaze töreni 13 Aralık 1987 tarihinde Şişli Camii'nde düzenlendi. Öğleyin kılınan cenaze namazının ardından Karacaahmet Mezarlığına defnedilmiştir. İstanbul Karacaahmet mezarlığında ilk eşi Ziya Keskiner ve oğlu Ahmet Keskiner (1951-1966) ile birlikte yatmaktadır. Oyunlarında ve sinema filmlerindeki anne tiplemesi, kendine has üslûbu ve kahkahası onu Türk Sinemasının unutulmaz isimleri arasına yerleştirmiştir. Adile Naşit canlandırdığı anne karakterleri nedeniyle 1985 yılında Yılın Annesi seçilmiştir.
